The delegation from Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), Ministry of Foreign Affairs of India visited Russian State Humanitarian University (RSUH).

The delegation headed by Prof. Veena Sikri former Ambassador, and former Director General, Indian Council for Cultural Relations  and Dr. Anirban Ganguly is Director of Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee Research Foundation, New Delhi came to Russia for an official visit.

Distinguished Indian guests met with Prof. Evgeniy Ibakhnenko, Rector of RSUH and had a fruitful discussion about further cooperation between ICCR and RSUH and prolongation of MOU between two sides.

Prof. Sergei Serebryaniy, Director of the Institute for Advanced Studies told Indian guests about the University’s history and structure and showed the museum halls.

Dr. Alexander Stolyarov, Director of the International Center for South Asia Studies, Indira Gazieva, Hindi teacher and Hindi group students – Olesya Koruka, Mariia Sheglova, Alexander Belikov, Artem Slepnev, Viktoriya Bazyleva, Vera Lebedeva, Ekaterina Taran studying Hindi at the Faculty of International Relations showed the distinguished guests study room devoted to Mahatma Gandhi and Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, and BRICS study room that were inaugurated on October 28, 2015 in the presence of Mr. G. Balasubramaniyam, Deputy Chief of Mission and Mr. Ashish Sharma, Director of the Jawaharlal Nehru Cultural Center, Embassy of India in Russia.

The meeting was held in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
