June, 19, 2016, 2nd International Yoga Day in Moscow, Russia

Hindi group students of Russian State University for Humanities (RSUH) and Institute of Asian and African studies of Moscow State University (IAAS MSU) worked as volunteers at celebrating the 2nd International Yoga Day in Moscow.
The event was organized by Jawaharlal Nehru Cultural Centre, Embassy of India in Russia and Yoga Federation in Russia. About 300 people came to Culture Park named after famous Russian writer Maxim Gorky. Hindi group students Mariia Shcheglova, Anton Makarov, Ekaterina Taran, Viktoriya Bazyleva, Alexander Belikov, Olesya Koryuka, Anastasiya Babikyna, Ekaterina Shalupenko, Alisa Dragun met people giving them T-shirts and yoga mats.
HE Mr. Pankaj Saran, Ambassador of India in Russia came to the ceremony of opening the 2nd International Yoga Day. The address by Mr. Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of India to all people in the world was shown by TV.
HE Mr. Pankaj Saran welcomed Russians and said that Yoga Day is celebrated in 50 regions of Russia and today we are going to practice yoga on a special protocol that contains 18 asanas and lasts 40 minutes.
After his welcoming speech, Dr. Suresh Babu, yoga teacher of JNCC and his students headed the festival and showed the asanas.
