4 April, 2017 Friendship Day was held at Russian State University for Humanities (RSUH)

RSUH Hindi group student Alexander Belikov and Daljit Singh have presented the video about India at the Friendship Day organized by Student’s Union of RSUH.

Daljit Singh is only one Indian student at RSUH. He came from Delhi has lived in Russia for two and a half years. He is a second-year student in the Department of Tourism.

The meeting was inaugurated by Prof. Evgeniy Ivakhnenko, Rector who stressed the high importance of culture and tolerance in society and said that the goals of this event is to create a tolerant consciousness among students and conditions for respectful attitude to different national traditions and cultures.

Students of 17 countries showed their guests and participants the presentations of their countries, showed the features of the national costume, told about the cultural traditions, and prepared dishes of national cuisine. Daljit Singh and Alexander Belikov showed the video about Hindi group‘s students trip to India in 2017 and sang song from the Indian movie “Shree 420" : “Mera jutaa he japaani…..” All students supported Dalgit Singh and sang along with him.

At the end of the meeting Prof Irakliy Bolkvadze, Pro-rector for Student affairs awarded the winners by Certificate of merit.
