VIII International Scientific Conference of Young Researchers "BRICS and SCO Summits: Sustainable Development".

RSUH group students and teachers were organizers of the  VIII International Scientific Conference of Young Researchers "BRICS and SCO Summits: Sustainable Development". 

The event was held within the framework of the RSUH Student Science Days - 2023

A welcome speech was made by:

Prof. Vera Zabotkina, Acting Vice-Rector for International Cooperation, RSUH

Mr. Maxim Bureev, Trade Representative of the Russian Federation in the Republic of South Africa

Prof Alexander Stolyarov, Director of the International Centre for South Asian studies, RSUH  

Dr. Monika Urb, Associate Professor, Department of African Studies, Institute of Asian and African Countries, M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University4

Dr. Maria Pushkova, Director of the Center of the Benelux Countries, RSUH.

 

Some interesting reports were presented on plenary meeting by: 

Dr. Divyam Prakash, Lecturer, Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar Bihar University, Muzaffarpur, India. Theme of the report: "The role of the BRICS countries in the global economy"

Dr. Amina Khalilova, PhD in History, Senior Researcher of the Federal State Budgetary Institution "Dagestan Federal Research Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences", Professor of the Russian Academy of Natural History. Presentation topic: "Women's Economic Empowerment in BRICS".

Ms. Kumari Sushma, Lecturer, Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar Bihar University, Muzaffarpur, India. Presentation topic: "BRICS countries as rising giants".

Mr.Ravi Shekhar, Master's degree. Jawaharlal Nehru University (New Delhi, India). Presentation topic: The Role of the BRICS countries in the global economy.  

 

The number of participants: 60 people. There were organized 2 sessions during the conference.

The working languages of the conference were: English, Russian, Dutch, Afrikaans.

 

Students from Nizhny Novgorod Institute of Management, Jawaharlal Nehru University (New Delhi, India), Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar Bihar University, the Institute of Asian and African Studies Lomonosov State University, Friendship University, Moscow State Institute of International Relations (University) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, N.I. Lobachevsky Nizhny Novgorod State University, Institute for African studies, Russian Academy of science, Saint-Petersburg State University, Russian State University for the Humanities, High School of economics presented 57 reports.

The conference program included some papers reflecting the most urgent problems in the fields of the political and economic situation of the BRICS countries, green ecology and economy, language situation in BRICS+ countries, the development of literatures in local languages, including Afrikaans, in African countries, the role of BRICS + countries in the global economy, China-Africa cooperation, the search for national identity (on the example of the Netherlands, Belgium and south Africa").
