“Uniting Continents!” Winter cultural - educational festival held at the Russian State University for the Humanities. The Festival united students and teachers from various Moscow universities.

Almost 100 students from various Moscow universities in expressed a desire to participate in this event.

Students who are studying Dutch showed the Sinterklaas festival dedicated to St. Nicholas. Mr. Sinterklaas is a majestic old man with a white beard and hair, wearing a red robe and miter, who rides a white horse.

St. Nicholas is the main character of the annual folk festival celebrated annually in the Netherlands and Belgium on December 5-6.

The 1st year Hindi group students who are studying Hindi at the Institute of Linguistics wearing Indian traditional festive clothes - a sari or Kurta-pajama showed how Indians celebrate the Diwali festival of lights.

The students also recited a poem in Hindi on Diwali.

The Higher School of Economics students held an interactive quiz and presented the most interesting details of the Dutch New Year's holiday Sinterklaas.

The Asian and African Institute studies (MSU) students spoke about how the New Year is spent in Africa, especially in Tanzania: traditions, customs and unusual facts.
